Udaipur - Venice of the East

Arrive at Udaipur and proceed for check-in. Grab the opportunity of experiencing a soothing boat ride in the largest water body of Udaipur - Lake Pichola which is regarded as the most beautiful artificial lake in Udaipur and grabs the title of the largest water body in Udaipur.  You get to encounter enormous peace and gather pleasant moments that you would cherish for an entire lifetime. 

Later stop at Jagmandir Island Palace. The palace is made of marble and yellow sandstone and has an impressive entrance that is flanked by statues of four elephants. Today the palace has been converted into a hotel. Explore the halls of the palace before you take the boat ride back to the shore. Return back to the hotel for dinner. 

Overnight stay at Udaipur

Today post breakfast, we start our journey towards Mount Abu, an unexpected oasis nestled in the rugged terrain of Rajasthan. But hold onto your seats because this journey is more than just a scenic drive.

Our first stop is Nathdwara, a sacred town renowned for its divine Shrinathji Temple. Then, brace yourself for a journey through history at Haldi Ghati, where the echoes of a fierce battle still linger. But fear not, because amidst the tales of valor, we'll explore the Maharana Pratap Museum, where history comes alive in the most exhilarating way.

Later we'll arrive at the Dilwara Jain Temple, a masterpiece of architecture that will leave you spellbound. Upon reaching Mount Abu check in to your hotel and go for a stroll along the enchanting Nakki Lake.

After breakfast, we will head back to Udaipur and visit Sajjangarh Monsoon Palace at sunset. This historic palace, built in the 19th century by Maharana Sajjan Singh, served as a retreat during the monsoon season for the royal family. Enjoy the scenic views it offers over the city of Udaipur and the Fatehsagar Lake. 

Get ready to go an a shopping spree as we’ll be visiting the famous Hathipole Market. You can find a variety of branded and local items including intricately embroidered and colourful block-printed apparel, ethnic silver jewellery, accessories, traditional home decor items, textiles, etc. Hathi Pol Bazar is famous for Miniature paintings, Ichhwai Paintings and hand paintings on silk.

Dinner and stay at Udaipur.

Post breakfast, get ready to explore Venice of the East - Udaipur. Visit City Palace and indulge yourself in the grandeur of the rooms and architecture. The intricate mirror-work, marble-work, murals, wall paintings, silver-work, inlay-work and coloured glass that adorn the balconies, towers and cupolas of the complex are worth admiring.

In the afternoon we will visit Saheliyon Ki Bari, also known as the Garden of Maidens, it is one such marvel of nature created by man for a woman. The garden offers endless beautiful things where you can spend long hours walking and exploring the wonders of nature preserved from such a long time. 

Later in the evening we will visit Bagore Ki Haveli. It is an opulent gracious palace which was built in the eighteenth century on the waterfront of Lake Pichola. The main attraction of Haveli is the Dharohar Dance Show which is conducted in the evening that showcases tradition and culture of Rajasthani folklore in an interesting manner. End your day with a walk at the Fateh Sagar lake or explore the market if  time permits.

Dinner and stay at Udaipur.

Relish your breakfast and post checkout we will leave for the airport with fond memories of architectural masterpieces, spirituality and rich history.
